Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Trucks (UAE) – 2 Positions

About the role

We are looking for experienced Diesel Mechanics specialized in heavy‑truck brands such as Scania, Volvo and MAN to keep our fleet operating at peak performance in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves diagnosing, repairing and over‑hauling a variety of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems on heavy‑duty trucks and tankers.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults on prime movers and trailers.
• Perform scheduled maintenance including oil changes, brake inspections and tyre checks.
• Inspect, repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, clutches, suspensions, steering and braking systems.
• Use diagnostic tools such as Jaltest for troubleshooting.
• Repair or replace components like fuel pumps, injectors, alternators and gearboxes.
• Maintain accurate service records and report completed work.
• Service Scully system, loading/unloading valves, Robin PTO pump, battery control system, GPS devices and camera surveillance equipment.
• Ensure compliance with fuel‑handling safety standards and RTA truck passing requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on experience maintaining heavy‑duty tankers and trucks.
• Proven ability to work independently and keep vehicle uptime high.
• Familiarity with safety standards for fuel handling and RTA inspection procedures.

Required skills

• Strong diagnostic ability for mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with Jaltest diagnostic equipment.
• Experience repairing fuel pumps, injectors, alternators and gearboxes.
• Knowledge of Scully system repair, calibration and troubleshooting.
• Capability to service loading/unloading valves and Robin PTO pumps.
• Battery control system testing and maintenance.
• Installation and maintenance of GPS devices and camera surveillance systems.
• Solid electrical and mechanical skills specific to heavy‑vehicle platforms.
