Ecom Fulfilment Assistant - Retail

About the role

The Ecom Fulfilment Assistant ensures efficient processing of online orders from store inventory, maintaining high standards of accuracy and presentation. The role requires adherence to brand guidelines and close collaboration with store management and the e-commerce team. Success is measured by timely dispatch and low error rates, which contribute to positive customer experiences and loyalty.

Key responsibilities

• Pick items from the shop floor or back-of-house according to order details such as size, colour and SKU.
• Pack orders to brand standards, including folding, tissue wrapping, tagging, adding invoices and sealing.
• Prepare shipments by printing labels, attaching the air waybill, handing over to the courier and updating the dispatch status.
• Perform quality checks so the right item is picked, there is no damage, security tags are removed and quantities are correct.
• Support returns: receive items, inspect them, relabel, restock and update the system with return information.
• Maintain stock accuracy through regular checks and proper put-away procedures.
• Keep the fulfilment area organised and compliant with safety, cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
• Escalate quickly issues related to out-of-stock, damaged or missing items and system problems.

Required profile

• Basic computer skills for email, scanning, printing labels and system updates.
• Strong attention to detail on sizes, barcodes, order notes and packaging standards.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under tight daily cut-off times.
• Effective communication and teamwork with store staff, couriers and e-commerce support.
• Basic English for reading order notes, addresses and SOPs.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle cartons; reliability and punctuality, comfortable with shifts, weekends and peak periods.
• Retail, stockroom, warehouse or e-commerce fulfilment experience is preferable; scanner, POS/OMS or courier portal experience is a plus.
