About the role
The Fire Fighting Draftsman will create detailed fire protection system drawings for various building projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and local fire safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare detailed fire fighting system drawings using AutoCAD, including layouts for sprinkler systems, fire hose reels, hydrants, and fire alarm coordination.
- Develop shop drawings, as‑built drawings, sections, details, and coordinated MEP drawings while ensuring proper routing and clash‑free coordination.
- Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, incorporate site modifications, and collaborate with engineers, BIM teams, and site personnel.
Required profile
- Experience preparing fire fighting layouts, sprinkler, hose reel, hydrant, and fire protection piping drawings for residential, commercial, and high‑rise projects.
- Familiarity with UAE Civil Defence requirements and applicable NFPA standards.
Required skills
- AutoCAD
- Knowledge of fire safety standards (UAE Civil Defence, NFPA)
- Ability to read and coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
