Food and Beverage Supervisor

About the role

The Food and Beverage Supervisor ensures the team delivers optimal service, meets guest expectations, and maintains high standards of hygiene and safety within the hotel’s dining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure staff work together as a team to provide optimum service and meet guest needs.
• Inspect grooming and attire of staff and correct any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing premises.
• Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO usage, and cleanliness.
• Conduct scheduled inventories, stock, and requisition necessary supplies.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well‑being.
• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
• Enforce company, safety, and security policies; report accidents and complete safety training.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; protect company assets and confidentiality.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Maintain clear professional communication and develop positive working relationships.
• Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, or cost‑savings.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb, and navigating confined spaces.

Required profile

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience in food and beverage operations.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
