Head of Enterprise IT – Airlines

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Enterprise IT to lead technology operations for an airline based in Abu Dhabi. The role will shape the IT strategy, oversee the entire infrastructure, and ensure that technology aligns with business objectives while maintaining top‑level security and service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy and roadmap aligned with digital transformation goals.
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise‑level IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse IT team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Establish IT governance, security policies, and compliance frameworks in line with regional and international regulations.
• Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement to optimise cost‑effectiveness.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions that improve operational efficiency.
• Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Drive change‑management initiatives and oversee adoption of new technologies.
• Monitor performance metrics, conduct audits, and report to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience.
• At least 5 years managing enterprise‑level IT infrastructure and operations.
• Extensive knowledge of SAP S/4, Finance processes, SuccessFactors, and HR processes.
• Proven record delivering waterfall and agile IT projects.
• Experience in the airline domain, including revenue accounting and refunds.
• Strong people‑management skills and ability to lead high‑performing teams.
