About the role
The HSE Officer will lead health, safety and environmental initiatives across construction and landscape projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a safe workplace.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential HSE hazards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in line with relevant standards.
- Perform risk assessments and recommend hazard control measures.
- Organize and deliver safety training programs for construction and landscape teams.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, or near‑misses and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate HSE requirements into project planning.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs and initiatives.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
- Advise on waste management and environmental sustainability practices.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CSP, NEBOSH, or equivalent.
Required skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
