About the role
The school is seeking an IT Assistant to join its team from January 2027. You will provide day‑to‑day technical and administrative support to the IT Engineer, ensuring reliable operation of the school’s ICT systems for staff and students.
Key responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain ICT equipment, including computers, peripherals and printers.
- Set up user accounts, preload software and prepare devices for classroom lessons.
- Maintain inventory records of hardware, software and passwords.
- Perform routine printer maintenance and replenish toner cartridges.
- Provide first‑line help‑desk support to staff and students, logging and resolving issues.
Required profile
- Degree in Computer Science (desirable) with certifications such as MCSE, MCSA or CCNA.
- Minimum three years’ experience delivering IT help‑desk support in a large organization.
Required skills
- MCSE certification.
- MCSA certification.
- CCNA certification.
- Computer data entry and report formatting skills.
