Principal Inspector – Public Health (UAE Nationals)

About the role

The Principal Inspector Public Health leads advanced inspection, investigation and health surveillance activities at UAE border ports. This role ensures compliance with national and international public health regulations, addressing high‑risk cases and contributing to regulatory improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspection operations at air, land and sea ports, ensuring adherence to health and environmental standards.
• Implement and monitor the International Health Regulations (IHR 2005) for travelers and goods.
• Lead complex epidemiological investigations, including contact tracing and outbreak response.
• Provide technical guidance, on‑the‑job training and on‑site support to inspection teams.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and legal documentation for regulatory procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in public health or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience for Emirati nationals (or 10+ years for non‑nationals).
• Emirati nationality with a valid Family Book; preference for candidates from Dubai (Hatta), Sharjah and Ajman.
