Procurement and Logistics Officer

About the role

The Procurement and Logistics Officer will coordinate end‑to‑end logistics operations, focusing on international ocean freight, customs clearance, import documentation and shipment coordination. The role ensures timely, cost‑effective movement of vehicles, spare parts and related products while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage import logistics operations, including ocean freight scheduling, customs clearance and delivery coordination.
• Coordinate with international suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers and transport providers.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation such as Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists and Certificates of Origin.
• Oversee customs clearance procedures, duty requirements and port formalities.
• Monitor shipments, resolve clearance delays and ensure timely delivery to warehouses and dealerships.
• Negotiate freight rates, shipping charges and logistics service agreements to optimise costs.
• Maintain shipment tracking reports, logistics cost records and operational KPIs.
• Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Finance and Warehouse teams to support growing shipment volumes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 7–10 years of relevant logistics experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong practical experience in ocean freight, customs clearance and import operations.
• Knowledge of ports, customs procedures, shipping regulations and freight forwarding.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/SAP systems.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
