Production Manager

About the role

The Production Manager is responsible for the overall management, supervision and performance of the Production Department, covering production operations, manpower management, facility maintenance and air-conditioning (A/C) maintenance. The role ensures production targets are met within the annual budget while keeping product quality, operational efficiency, equipment reliability, cost control and workplace safety.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise production operations, production plants, manpower and daily activities
• Plan and achieve production targets in line with the annual budget and sales requirements
• Ensure finished products meet required quality standards
• Manage production machinery, fleet, facility and A/C maintenance; plan preventive maintenance and coordinate breakdown repairs with the Workshop
• Minimise production downtime and forecast spare parts and maintenance materials
• Coordinate with Sales, Crusher, Purchase, Stores and Workshop
• Prepare production and maintenance reports and the annual department budget, and update the General Manager regularly
• Monitor the performance of Production Engineers, Supervisors and Operators and ensure compliance with safety procedures

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in production or plant management
• Strong knowledge of production machinery and maintenance
• Leadership, planning, coordination and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage manpower, budgets, production targets and maintenance activities
