Production Manager - MRO Operations

About the role

The Production Manager oversees the daily scheduling, coordination and execution of MRO operations for their assigned product. The role ensures smooth production workflows, optimises resource allocation and meets turnaround times in line with regulatory standards, safety protocols and customer requirements. It sits within Operations and reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Resource management: allocate manpower, equipment and materials to meet deadlines, work with planning and stores on parts availability, and optimise work cells, tooling and machinery.
• Process optimization: analyse workflows, apply Six Sigma best practices, and monitor KPIs such as TAT, utilisation and efficiency.
• Compliance and safety: comply with MOE, GCAA, EASA and FAA requirements; enforce safety, quality control and company policies; support audits and corrective actions.
• Team leadership: recruit, lead, coach and develop technicians and inspectors, organise training and conduct performance evaluations.
• Customer coordination: work with customer service to align with customer needs and manage changes or deviations in the production plan.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in an MRO, aerospace or aviation production environment with a proven track record.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in an aviation or MRO setting.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of component maintenance processes, including Part 145 regulations.
• Proficiency in Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
• Understanding of SMS, human factors and CAR-145 requirements, and familiarity with the GCAA/EASA/FAA regulatory environment.
• Leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication with cross-functional teams.
