Senior Auditor

About the role

ADEPTS Chartered Accountants is hiring a Senior Auditor in Abu Dhabi. The role involves planning and executing external audits, reviewing financial statements and delivering clear, well-supported findings, working closely with audit managers and engagement partners. It also includes guiding junior colleagues and communicating confidently with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Understand each client's business, industry, accounting processes and internal controls, and support risk assessments, materiality calculations and audit plans
• Lead day-to-day fieldwork, assess evidence, investigate discrepancies and document conclusions
• Escalate significant accounting and audit matters to the audit manager
• Prepare and review financial statements and disclosures under IFRS, and maintain complete working papers
• Assist in preparing management letters and coordinate with client finance teams
• Allocate tasks to juniors, review their work and monitor progress against timelines and budgets

Required profile

• CA finalist, ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification with a bachelor's degree
• 5 years of external audit experience, preferably in an established audit or professional services firm
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and ISA; UAE audit experience preferred
• Ability to prepare financial statements and produce clear audit documentation

Required skills

• IFRS and International Standards on Auditing (ISA)
• Microsoft Excel and familiarity with audit software and accounting systems
• Analytical, organisational and communication skills
