Senior Production Engineer

About the role

The Senior Production Engineer will lead the production discipline for McDermott projects in the United Arab Emirates, applying best practices to improve efficiency, quality, and cost control. You will act as a technical resource for less‑experienced colleagues and drive continuous improvement across the production team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise discipline production engineers, identify resource needs and communicate them to the Division Production team.
• Understand contractual scope, contract type and milestone schedule; manage progress reporting.
• Review constructability and develop the most productive work execution plan.
• Lead fabrication 4WLA, prioritize materials and drawings, and forecast fabrication and engineering requirements.
• Initiate and approve revision and change orders, ensuring they are captured in the global lessons‑learned database.
• Chair weekly project production meetings, monitor fabrication progress, productivity and budget compliance.
• Manage scope changes, keep AFC estimates up‑to‑date and drive material ordering and expediting.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience in production engineering within construction or industrial projects.
• Proven ability to supervise engineering teams and coordinate with procurement, fabrication and project management.
• Strong understanding of contract administration, change order processes and schedule management.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to minimise work disruptions.
