Service Engineer

About the role

The Service Engineer will coordinate the service department to maximise technician efficiency and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. This position oversees workshop activities, warranty handling and manufacturer recalls while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and control workshop and reception activities, ensuring smooth communication between parts, reception, workshop and quality control.
• Resolve technical and warranty issues in coordination with suppliers, internal departments and the principal.
• Schedule and close manufacturer recalls on time.
• Review quotations before they are sent to customers.
• Monitor technician utilisation, arrange movements between workshops or branches, and submit weekly/monthly performance reports.
• Prepare monthly workshop activity reports covering complaints, technical issues, warranty status, recalls and training.
• Maintain tools, equipment and facilities to ensure safe performance and compliance with health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Liaise with customers, address concerns, and ensure quality service and timely delivery.
• Keep the workshop and rest areas clean and uphold dealer standards.
• Support staff training through in‑house or principal programmes.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Ability to enforce company policies and health‑and‑safety regulations.
