Technical Manager – Construction (Office-Based)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead the technical function for a well‑established contracting company in Dubai. This senior, office‑based position oversees technical activities across multiple construction projects, ensuring compliance, constructability and efficient delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Technical Department across several projects.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, civil, MEP and other engineering disciplines.
• Review and approve IFC drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and RFIs.
• Identify and resolve technical issues before they affect cost, schedule or construction.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, authority requirements and project specifications.
• Mentor and develop technical engineers, coordinators, architects and draftsmen.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering or a related field.
• 12–18+ years of experience in construction/main contracting, preferably on high‑rise residential, commercial or mixed‑use projects.
• Proven experience in a Technical Manager, Head of Technical or Technical Director role.
• Strong UAE construction experience and knowledge of local codes and authority approval processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
