Therapeutic Area Medical Senior Manager

About the role

The Medical Senior Manager will act as the primary medical contact for assigned products, adapting global strategies to regional priorities and supporting execution to maximize Amgen's value proposition.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute patient‑focused medical strategies, including launch support, lifecycle management and evidence generation.
• Lead scientific exchange with external stakeholders such as opinion leaders, payers and societies.
• Provide strategic input for regulatory, reimbursement and promotional materials and ensure compliance with laws and SOPs.
• Manage medical product budgets, oversee clinical trial conduct, and support investigator‑sponsored studies.

Required profile

• Doctorate degree with at least 5 years of medical affairs or clinical development experience, including 1+ year in pharma/biotech.
• Minimum 2 years of managerial experience leading people or cross‑functional teams.
• Strong scientific judgment, understanding of clinical research methods and GCP.

Required skills

• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) knowledge and familiarity with regional regulatory guidelines.
• Budgeting and resource management.
• Experience with clinical trial design and biostatistics concepts.
