2D/3D Sheet Metal Draftsman

About the role

Steel Square Glass & Aluminium L.L.C is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented 2D/3D Sheet Metal Draftsman in Dubai. The ideal candidate has practical experience preparing fabrication drawings and 3D models for custom metalwork, sheet metal components and architectural fabrication projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 2D fabrication drawings and 3D models based on client requirements and technical specifications.
• Develop sheet metal designs, flat patterns, cutting layouts and bending details.
• Prepare production-ready drawings for CNC laser cutting, bending and assembly.
• Coordinate with the production team so drawings are practical and suitable for fabrication.
• Review dimensions, material specifications and design accuracy before production.
• Revise drawings according to client feedback and project needs.
• Support the team in resolving technical drawing and fabrication issues.

Required profile

• Diploma, ITI or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting or a related field preferred.
• Practical experience in 2D/3D drafting and sheet metal design.
• Ability to read technical drawings and prepare accurate fabrication details.
• Experience with stainless steel, mild steel or aluminium fabrication is an advantage.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
• Understanding of sheet metal fabrication, CNC laser cutting, bending and flat pattern development.
