Audit Manager

About the role

ADEPTS Chartered Accountants is hiring an Audit Manager in Abu Dhabi to take ownership of audit engagements, lead and develop its audit professionals and build lasting client relationships. The role combines technical expertise with practical engagement management, working closely with the engagement partner and client leadership from initial planning through final reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engagement planning: understand the client's business, assess risks, determine materiality and develop audit responses.
• Allocate resources and oversee fieldwork across multiple engagements, ensuring procedures and documentation meet International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Review financial statements and disclosures for IFRS compliance, evaluate complex accounting matters and significant estimates, and review working papers.
• Act as principal contact for clients, communicate progress and findings, discuss internal control observations and manage expectations.
• Supervise and coach audit seniors and juniors, manage budgets, deadlines and work allocation, coordinate billing and follow up on collections.
• Support proposals, client acceptance procedures and business development opportunities.

Required profile

• CA, ACCA, CPA or an equivalent professional qualification.
• At least 8 years of external audit experience, including managing engagements and supervising teams.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients and delivering multiple assignments on time.
• UAE audit experience within an established audit or professional services firm is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and ISA.
• Review, analytical, report-writing and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence communicating with business owners, finance leaders and senior management.
