Consultant Critical Care & Pulmonologist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Critical Care & Pulmonologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai, providing expert care for critically ill patients and complex respiratory disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis and management of critical illnesses and pulmonary disorders.
• Manage ICU patients requiring advanced life‑support, mechanical ventilation and hemodynamic support.
• Perform and supervise invasive procedures such as endotracheal intubation, central venous catheterisation, arterial line placement and bronchoscopy.
• Interpret pulmonary function tests, spirometry, bronchoscopy findings and thoracic imaging.
• Lead emergency resuscitation, rapid response and multidisciplinary care collaborations.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent with recognised postgraduate qualification in Pulmonology/Respiratory Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.
• Board certification or consultant‑level qualification, 5‑10 years post‑specialisation experience in both fields.
• Eligible for DHA Consultant licence in Dubai with appropriate specialty privileges.

Required skills

• Advanced airway management and mechanical ventilation.
• Bronchoscopy (diagnostic and therapeutic).
• Central venous catheterisation and arterial line placement.
• Pulmonary function testing and spirometry.
• Management of ARDS, sepsis, septic shock and multi‑organ dysfunction.
