Electrical Engineering Internship

About the role

Join Siemens Energy's Grid Technologies Substations unit as an Engineering Working Intern. You will collaborate with senior engineers on calculations, drawings, and documentation that support real substation infrastructure delivery across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior engineers with engineering calculations, data collection, and technical analysis for substation projects.
• Assist in preparing and modifying technical drawings and schematics using CAD software under supervision.
• Review technical specifications and project documentation to understand requirements and standards.
• Participate in team meetings to stay informed on project status and engineering challenges.
• Create, format, and maintain project documentation, reports, and technical records.
• Organize engineering files and drawings within the document management system and provide general administrative support.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor’s program in Electrical Engineering, Electrical‑Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong foundation in core engineering principles and eagerness to apply academic knowledge in a practical setting.
• Working knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and ability to perform basic data analysis.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
• High learning agility, attention to detail, and ability to quickly absorb new technical concepts.
• Effective communication, teamwork, and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
