English Teacher - Bateen World Academy (2027/2028)

About the role

Aldar Academies is recruiting an English teacher for Bateen World Academy, a British and IB World School in central Abu Dhabi, starting in the 2027-2028 academic year. The school runs the IB Primary Years Programme (FS1 to Year 6) and the IB Diploma and Career-related Programmes (Years 12 and 13). Successful candidates share the school's core values and understand the values of the region.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to achieve their best outcomes
• Plan lessons with colleagues, liaise professionally with them and work with parents to support children's happiness and academic progress
• Work with curriculum support staff where applicable and act as a form tutor, supporting the pastoral needs of students
• Organise classroom provision, learning resources and displays; teach to the needs of the whole class and assess pupils in line with the school's assessment policy
• Use assessment data to inform planning, provision and intervention, and give parents feedback on progress at parent-teacher conferences
• Manage classes effectively, follow the Behaviour Policy, and embed the Mamoura British Academy Teacher and Learner DNA and values in the curriculum
• Work in the department team, support school events and activities, communicate with parents through school systems such as CPOMS, and run a weekly ECA each term

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related subject with PGCE or equivalent
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in the English National Curriculum
• Experience in more than one international school is desirable
• Strong interpersonal skills, resilience, ability to work under pressure, and commitment to continuing professional development
