Garment & Textile Assessor

About the role

The Garment & Textile Assessor is responsible for evaluating clothing and fabric items to determine the optimal cleaning method, stain‑removal technique, and care requirements. The role combines deep fabric knowledge with hands‑on operation of dry‑cleaning and laundry equipment to ensure high‑quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Identify fabric types, garment construction, and care‑label instructions; recommend cleaning methods when labels are missing.
• Diagnose stains and select appropriate solvents, chemicals, or detergents for effective removal.
• Operate PERC and GreenEarth dry‑cleaning systems, washers, dryers, and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform pressing, ironing, and steaming to maintain garment quality.
• Train Spotters, Washers, and Dry Cleaners on assessment, stain treatment, and cleaning techniques.
• Monitor cleaning quality, suggest process improvements, and maintain accurate assessment records.
• Communicate clearly with team members and customers in English.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in laundry or dry‑cleaning operations.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and stain types.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
