IQC Inspector

About the role

Kerno, a fast-growing technology company building enterprise computing solutions from the UAE, is looking for an IQC (Incoming Quality Control) Inspector for its manufacturing team in Dubai Silicon Oasis. The inspector checks that every raw material, part and component received meets the standards enterprise customers expect, acting as the first line of quality by inspecting supplier deliveries before they reach production or the warehouse.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional and functional inspections on incoming parts and raw materials, such as mechanical parts.
• Verify supplier documentation, including purchase orders, quantities, invoices, Certificates of Analysis (COA), test reports and Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) records.
• Classify materials as accepted, rejected or conditionally approved and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Escalate quality issues and issue Corrective Action Requests (CARs) to suppliers to resolve problems.
• Maintain inspection logs, reports (soft and hard copy) and quality tracking metrics.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
• 5-7 years of experience in the electronics, automotive or medical industries.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and clear communication.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Working knowledge of sampling plans (e.g. MIL-STD-105D / AQL) and quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
