National Sea Logistics Trade Lane Manager - Import

About the role

Kuehne+Nagel is looking for a National Sea Logistics Trade Lane Manager (Import) to drive import trade lane performance, business growth and profitability across the Sea Logistics organization. Working closely with Sales, Pricing, Operations and global stakeholders, the role develops and executes trade lane strategies, leads procurement and pricing initiatives, identifies growth opportunities and delivers customer-centric logistics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute import trade lane strategies to grow profitably, increase market share and strengthen the company's competitive position.
• Lead commercial initiatives across trade lanes, supporting customer acquisition and pipeline conversion.
• Coordinate RFQs, pricing activities and procurement strategies with Sales, Pricing, Trade Management and global stakeholders.
• Build relationships with customers, carrier partners and internal stakeholders.
• Analyse market trends, carrier developments and supply chain dynamics to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with Operations and Solution Design teams on scalable, end-to-end logistics solutions.
• Monitor trade lane performance, including volume growth, profitability, retention and business development targets.
• Act as a link between national and global teams and drive post-sales implementation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Experience in sea logistics with a solid understanding of import trade lanes and freight forwarding operations.
• Strong commercial mindset and experience managing RFQs/RFPs, pricing activities and customer negotiations.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Carrier management and allocation management experience is a plus.
