PCBA Testing Specialist

About the role

Kerno, a fast-growing technology company building enterprise computing solutions from the UAE, is looking for a PCBA Testing Specialist to join its manufacturing team in Dubai Silicon Oasis. The role ensures that every printed circuit board assembly meets engineering specifications and the quality standards of its enterprise customers. You will run functional tests on automated test systems, apply pass/fail criteria accurately and escalate issues quickly, working closely with engineering, quality and production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform PCBA-level functional testing using automated test equipment and software platforms.
• Follow standardized test procedures and engineering instructions.
• Validate product functionality against defined specifications and quality benchmarks, applying pass/fail criteria with high accuracy.
• Identify, document and escalate defects, abnormalities and non-conformances.
• Maintain accurate test records and ensure full traceability of results.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in electronics or PCBA testing within an EMS company.
• Proven experience operating automated test equipment and its software.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, procedures and specifications.
• Good understanding of ESD handling and a basic understanding of electronic components and circuit functionality.
• Attention to detail, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and a quality-driven mindset.
• Clear communication and reporting skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
