Procurement Executive

About the role

The Procurement Executive sources and negotiates goods and services for each assigned category, aiming for the best quality and price while maintaining good relationships with suppliers. The role ensures the right products arrive on time and in full to meet the originating department's requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to all RFQs from departments with quotations, prepare comparisons and run auctions where applicable, following the spend SOP
• Support the Category Manager in achieving monthly savings targets
• Generate contracts for high spend items on time, starting the renewal process 90 days in advance
• Reduce SSPJ year on year by introducing new suppliers to services and products
• Track year-to-date spend, analyse it by ABC method and recommend cost-reduction projects to the Category Manager
• Manage supplier complaints through the SCN and keep them resolved on time
• Update the approved supplier list annually with ratings, submit it to the Category Manager and get HOP approval
• Negotiate payment terms with suppliers to improve cash flow
• Register new suppliers or change supplier details in Oracle with HOP approval
• Source online gate passes for materials entering JAFZA and coordinate emergency response team approvals for plant entry

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree; preferred awareness of ERP systems such as D365 and MS Office
• Preferred: 3 to 5 years of relevant procurement and/or supply chain experience
• Good knowledge of supply strategy, cost analysis, planning, supplier management and fact-based negotiation
