Safety Compliance Specialist – Remote

About the role

The Safety Compliance Specialist at DESTRESS-NL works remotely to ensure that organisational practices meet health, safety and stress‑prevention standards. You will review policies, assess risks and help create resilient work environments.

Key responsibilities

• Review and update health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assess workplace risks related to stress and occupational health.
• Recommend improvements and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project partners to embed safety compliance in stress‑reduction programmes.
• Develop and support safety training materials and documentation.
• Monitor regulatory updates and prepare compliance reports.
• Advise stakeholders on continuous‑improvement actions.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in health & safety and occupational health.
• Proficiency in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and risk‑assessment methods.
• Experience delivering safety training and accident investigation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Relevant education in occupational safety, public health or related field; certifications are a plus.
• Experience with workplace mental‑health or well‑being initiatives is beneficial.
