Senior Logistics Operations Manager - Last-Mile Delivery

About the role

Proven is hiring a Senior Logistics Operations Manager in Dubai to lead and optimize last-mile delivery operations. The role manages large delivery workforces, ensures client service levels, improves operational productivity and controls operating costs. It suits a hands-on leader with strong analytical and commercial capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily last-mile delivery operations across multiple client locations, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
• Lead delivery associates, supervisors and logistics coordinators, covering workforce planning, scheduling and deployment.
• Work with HR and recruitment teams on onboarding, mobilization, replacement and manpower needs.
• Monitor KPIs such as rider productivity, attendance, workforce utilization, on-time delivery and client SLA compliance.
• Manage client relationships, run operational reviews and resolve escalations through root-cause analysis.
• Maintain performance dashboards, reports and tracking systems; monitor costs and contract profitability.
• Work with finance and commercial teams on budgeting, forecasting, billing and new contracts.
• Set up SOPs, performance management processes and continuous improvement initiatives, and support the rollout of new client contracts.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field; postgraduate qualifications in Operations, Supply Chain or Management are advantageous.
• 5-8 years of experience in logistics, last-mile delivery or delivery workforce operations, including 2-3 years in a managerial or senior supervisory role.
• Demonstrated experience managing large delivery teams (200+ riders), manpower planning, scheduling and performance management.
• Experience overseeing multiple locations or client accounts, and managing client relationships and SLAs.
• Experience in cost control, budgeting and contract profitability; UAE last-mile delivery experience strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets.
• Understanding of operational KPIs, dashboards and reporting; Power BI, Looker Studio or similar is an advantage.
• Familiarity with delivery management systems and workforce scheduling tools.
• Root-cause analysis, operational forecasting and performance improvement.
• Leadership, client relationship management and stakeholder communication.
