Service Engineer - SCMS

About the role

The Service Engineer – SCMS will be responsible for delivering retrofit upgrades, system extensions, and modifications for Substation Automation systems in Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure projects meet contractual, quality, safety, and cybersecurity requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the Service Engineering function in project and customer meetings, contributing to execution plans.
• Coordinate with customers and external entities to prepare project documents, schedules, acceptance criteria, and resolve open items.
• Execute system integrations, factory testing, and on‑site implementations, ensuring on‑time, on‑quality, and on‑cost delivery.
• Perform system modifications, extensions, upgrades, and conduct Site Acceptance Testing, energisation checks, and final acceptance.
• Develop HMI configurations and system databases according to project specifications.
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation such as system architecture, signal lists, component configuration, FAT & SAT procedures, method statements, risk assessments, and incident reports.
• Ensure strict compliance with internal processes, external regulations, cybersecurity requirements, and safety protocols.
• Support continuous improvement by providing lessons learned, supporting claims, and contributing to product and process enhancements.
• Manage external partners, ensuring health, safety, and quality compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in service engineering for Substation Automation systems.
• Ability to lead assignments of varying complexity and manage on‑site activities.
• Strong technical interface skills with customers and external partners.
• Commitment to safety, integrity, and ethical decision‑making.
