Social Media & Community Management Manager – Gulf

About the role

Lilly is looking for a Social Media & Community Management Manager to lead its Gulf‑region digital presence. The role will shape strategy, create content and ensure compliant, empathetic engagement with audiences in the UAE, Kuwait and Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a Gulf‑specific social media strategy and content calendar across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other relevant platforms.
• Monitor, moderate and respond to conversations in English and Arabic, ensuring compliance with medical, legal and regulatory requirements.
• Track platform changes, emerging trends and recommend proactive responses.
• Manage digital campaigns, paid media, SEO/SEM and website content governance.
• Lead social listening, analytics and audience insights, producing performance reports and actionable recommendations.
• Identify reputational risks, manage escalation protocols and support crisis communications.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in social media or community management, preferably in a regulated or multinational environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally without direct authority.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with a social media management platform such as Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Hootsuite or Khoros.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical/healthcare compliance, adverse event reporting and regulatory review processes.
