About the role
The Sous Chef will supervise and coordinate kitchen activities, ensuring food presentation, quality, and safety standards are met for the Garage Production outlet.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise cooks and kitchen workers, coordinating daily tasks and food preparation.
- Determine food presentation, create decorative displays, and ensure proper portioning and garnish.
- Monitor food quantities, stock levels, and kitchen supplies.
- Communicate menu specials and out‑of‑stock items to service staff.
- Prepare special meals or substitute items as needed.
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching staff.
- Maintain kitchen logs for food safety programs and report any quality issues.
- Follow company safety, security, and uniform policies and report incidents.
Required profile
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
- 4 to 6 years of related culinary experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a kitchen environment.
