Specialist - Revenue Finance

About the role

The Specialist - Revenue oversees the end-to-end revenue assurance process, including validation of revenue triggers, revenue forecasting, pricing analysis and compliance with applicable accounting standards. Acting as the subject matter expert for revenue governance, the role drives accuracy, completeness and timeliness of revenue reporting through collaboration with Commercial, Contracts and Operational functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead revenue recognition by validating timing, value and nature of revenue against contracts and deliverables, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15, company policies and internal controls, and resolving cut-off, pricing and documentation issues.
• Guide junior staff in reviewing billing triggers and contractual interpretations.
• Prepare revenue forecasts, run variance analysis and analyse pricing, discounting and volume trends to support margin improvement and risk mitigation.
• Produce revenue reports and dashboards, prepare reconciliations, audit trails and technical papers for internal and external audits, and ensure audit readiness of revenue files.
• Recommend and support system enhancements for revenue visibility and automation, and lead or support process improvement initiatives.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for revenue processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field; professional qualification (CPA, CMA, ACCA) or progress toward certification preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in revenue management, FP&A or commercial finance.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and experience with complex revenue scenarios and audit documentation.
• Ability to evaluate pricing structures, customer agreements and discounting impacts, and identify risks of revenue leakage.

Required skills

• Advanced ERP system knowledge.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or advanced Excel reporting and dashboard development.
• Business partnering with Commercial, Contracts, Operations and Finance teams.
• Process improvement, SOP development and audit and compliance awareness.
