Business Development Manager – Public Cloud (Dubai)

About the role

Alibaba Cloud is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive public‑cloud adoption across Dubai. You will build relationships with enterprise and government customers, understand their digital transformation needs and translate them into qualified sales opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage key accounts, map decision‑making chains and develop trusted relationships with C‑level executives.
• Communicate the technical and business value of Alibaba Cloud’s core offerings, including Apsara Cloud OS, the “7 Core Products” and AI/Intelligent Computing solutions.
• Lead the sales cycle from opportunity creation through negotiation, pricing proposals and contract closure, achieving revenue targets.
• Coordinate cross‑functional resources to ensure successful project implementation and resolve product‑usage issues.
• Drive upsell and cross‑sell initiatives, expanding customers from IaaS to higher‑value services such as PaaS, data and AI.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in the cloud computing industry with a proven track record in public‑cloud sales or B2B/B2G pre‑sales.
• Experience in large‑scale customer stack migrations and revenue scaling across key accounts.
• Strong understanding of industry‑specific business scenarios and ability to diagnose technical challenges.
• Demonstrated capability to build multi‑level relationships and influence senior decision‑makers.
• Proficiency in developing quantified upsell roadmaps and leading end‑to‑end project execution.
