Experienced Business Development Executive

About the role

The Business Development Executive will drive growth by implementing the company’s business plan, identifying new opportunities, and nurturing client relationships in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the approved business plan and achieve targeted results.
• Identify and pursue new prospects, sell products, and recommend tailored solutions.
• Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients through regular visits and CRM activities.
• Ensure strict adherence to the company’s credit policies, regularly review debtor accounts, and manage timely collections.
• Handle customer complaints in coordination with Customer Service and Operations.
• Mitigate avoidable risks through proactive risk‑management practices.
• Coordinate with the Accounts department to align financial and commercial interests.
• Negotiate rates and tariffs with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, and other service providers.
• Prepare analytical reports summarising market trends, sales performance, and opportunities.
• Support the Head of Sales, General Manager, or senior leadership with additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within a B2B environment.
• Strong ability to identify market opportunities and evaluate industry positioning.
• Excellent client‑relationship skills with a focus on retention and upselling.
• Solid understanding of credit policies, debt collection, and risk management.
• Effective coordination with internal departments such as Accounts and Operations.
• Negotiation skills for dealing with overseas agents and service providers.
