Training Consultant – Learning & Development

About the role

Foreground is expanding its Learning & Development practice and seeks experienced Training Consultants to design and deliver capability‑building programmes for clients across diverse industries. As a contracted consultant you will act as Foreground’s representative on client engagements, creating tailored learning experiences that develop leaders, strengthen teams and boost organisational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design customised training programmes aligned with client organisational goals, developing content, materials and learning pathways for leadership, managerial and workforce skill areas.
• Facilitate high‑impact workshops, training sessions and learning experiences, adapting delivery style to different audiences, cultures and learning environments.
• Partner with clients to assess skill gaps, learning needs and development priorities, providing recommendations on learning strategy and long‑term upskilling approaches.
• Measure programme effectiveness using feedback, assessments and performance indicators, and produce reports and insights to drive continuous improvement.
• Represent Foreground professionally, maintaining strong communication, managing expectations and ensuring delivery timelines are met.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, training, facilitation, instructional design or organisational development.
• Proven ability to design and deliver training programmes for professional audiences, with strong facilitation, presentation and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects independently and delivering results within agreed timelines.
• Background in consulting, advisory or capability‑building roles is preferred, as is familiarity with blended learning models.
