Assistant Manager – FX/MM Settlements

About the role

The Assistant Manager – FX/MM Settlements will support the Injaz FX/MM Settlements Operations Group in ensuring accurate and timely processing of foreign exchange and money‑market transactions. The role involves monitoring payments, validating trades, and reconciling daily cash‑flows across multiple systems.

Key responsibilities

• Validate foreign exchange and money‑market product trades and ensure correct SSI updates.
• Monitor corporate customer CP conditions related to FX trades.
• Perform daily payment reconciliation between booking systems and payment gateways.
• Oversee Nostro account outstanding items and follow up on delayed payments.
• Execute daily money‑market cash‑flow monitoring, settlements and confirmation matching.
• Process FX DVP transactions, ensuring funds are received before outbound payments.
• Manage gold‑swap product transactions with DGCX within specified cut‑off times.
• Prepare UAEFTS payments daily and verify transmission copies of SWIFT messages.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of CLS trade settlement system.
• Proficiency with SWIFT message types MT103, MT202, MT300, MT320, MT600.
• Understanding of Islamic finance structures – Murabaha, Wakala, Reverse Murabaha.
• Experience with Treasury accounting for FX and money‑market products.
• Familiarity with T24 and DealHub deal‑flow controls.
• Ability to monitor and reconcile cash‑flows and Nostro balances.
