Head of Interest Rate Derivatives Trading

About the role

Lead the Interest Rate Derivatives (IRD) trading desk within ADCB Treasury, managing risk, liquidity and product development for corporate and investment banking clients. Drive profitability while ensuring compliance with internal policies and UAE regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the IRD book to meet financial targets within the approved risk framework.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Oversee pricing, structuring, execution and risk monitoring of IRD transactions.
• Lead market intelligence, due‑diligence and hedging strategies for live and prospective trades.
• Manage a team, set objectives, conduct performance reviews and foster continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 9 years of progressive experience in IRD trading.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or Computer Science.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑currency, multi‑product rates books and illiquid positions.
• Experience pricing complex derivatives and validating pricing models.
